.....On Sunday, we go to Starbucks.

After 3 hours of blogging, reading scripture, soaking in the air conditioning, and talking about our beautifully messy lives, we packed our bags and trekked to find a rick shaw.

Almost impossible, I tell ya. One thing I will never get used to here is the fact that men treat me like I am an idiot.

Let me paint a picture for you. Everyday we walk down the street we are axed back at with dark brown eyes. I consider myself an average looking person, but I do not believe I deserve all the attention and curiosity beaming at me. Annie and I joked that if we stared back at them, they may look away. Wishful thinking. They just stared harder… Our tactic failed us. Seriously though, any where we go, no matter how sweaty and nasty we look, all the men stare us up and down. I wouldn't call myself a strong feminist, but I have never felt so objectified. And- when we get a rickshaw, they will barely converse with us. When they do, they just insert that we are clueless. Which drives me mad. Sometimes they will drive away mid sentence. Ah, just a culture thing I suppose!

We finally found a decent ride and headed to India's parliament building. What a sight! Beautiful green grass graced the ground, and monkeys jumped up and down the brick stairs. Lovely.

Annie and I both want to potentially go into some form of government, or public policy, so it was a treat to see the grounds where the indians do their work.

We set off for India gate after that. Which was, well, a brick gate. Simple as that. But it was something to see!

After some sight seeing we went shopping for the kiddos. We intended to get them pens, pencils, notebooks, history books, the necessities. We failed to find reasonable prices and put it off for another day. Following a filling meal, we went grocery shopping for our lunches and hit the hay shortly after.

Sunday was simple. Which I believe we needed a day to calm down and reflect after our first full week here in the wonderful land of Delhi.

Ill spare ya some reading, and I'll make this short.

Hope you all have had a lovely weekend!
